Ch. 12 Spatial Coordinates and Vectors 3 1/2 weeks Ch. 13 Motion and Curves 1 1/2 weeks Ch. 14 Multivariable Differentials 4 weeks Ch. 15 Multiple Integrals 3 1/2 weeks *any remaining class time will be for review* Grades: Homework (15%) Weekly assignments from the textbook will be announced on Thursdays and will be due the following Tuesday, at the *beginning* of class NO LATE HOMEWORKS!! (except with a valid excuse) *Collaboration* is allowed, but write up your solutions by yourself. Tests (15% each) On each test, you will be responsible for the material covered up until a week before the test. Ch. 12 Thu 13 Feb. Chs. 13 & 14 Thu 19 Mar. Ch. 15 Thu 30 Apr. NO MAKE-UP TESTS (except in EXTRAORDINARY circumstances and with advance notice). Final (40%) cumulative--Mon 11 May, 10am-1pm Each test will take place a full week after the material for that test is covered. Grades will be computed on a curve, with the curve for each test announced when it is handed back to you. I am aiming for a 90-80-70-60 scale, but it probably won't work out quite that way (in particular, doing the homework should end up being worth at least a full letter grade).
