Syllabus:  Boyce and DiPrima, Elementary Differential Equations, 4th ed.
		Ch. 2   First Order Equations		4 weeks
		Ch. 3	Several Order Linear Equations	4 weeks
		Ch. 4 	Series Solutions		1 week
		Ch. 6	Laplace Transform		3 weeks
		Ch. 7	Systems of First Order Eq'ns	2 weeks

Grades:	Homework (15%)  Weekly assignments from the textbook will be
		announced on Thursdays and will be due the following 
		Tuesday, at the beginning of class (exception:  no
		homework will be due Nov. 26, the Tuesday before 
		Thanksgiving).  The assignment will also be posted
		outside my door.
		NO LATE HOMEWORKS!!
	Tests (15% each)  
		Ch. 2  		Thu 26 Sept.
		Ch. 3  		Thu 24 Oct.
		Chs. 4 & 6	Tue 26 Nov.  (Tue before Thanksgiving)
		NO MAKE-UP TESTS  (except in EXTRAORDINARY circumstances
				   and with advance notice).
	Final (40%) cumulative--Tue 10 Dec. 10am-12:45pm

Grades will be computed on a curve, with the curve for each test
announced when it is handed back to you.  I am aiming for a 90-80-70-60
scale, but it probably won't work out quite that way (in particular,
doing the homework should end up being worth at least a full letter
grade).
