Analysis: An Introduction to
Analysis on the Real Line for Classes Using Inquiry Based
Learning. Self-published (2008).
As a graduate student the author participated in an Inquiry Based Learning course in Topology, and has been intrigued
by Inquiry Based Learning ever since. Inquiry Based Learning is also known as the "Moore Method", named after the
eminent Texas mathematician R.L. Moore (1882-1974).
Paul Halmos has summarized the basic idea of Inquiry Based Learning
succinctly as follows: ''The best way to learn is to do; the worst way to teach is to talk.''
Contents: 1 - Introduction, 2 - Sequences and Accumulation Points, 3 - Limits, 4 - Continuity, 5 - The Derivative, 6 - The Integral, A - Cardinality, B - The Cantor Set.
