Prerequisite: STA 3513 (Probability and Statistics) Syllabus: Chapter 7 Sampling Distributions and Central Limit Theorem (Review) Chapter 8 Estimation Chapter 9 Properties of Point Estimators and Methods of Estimation Chapter 10 Hypothesis Testing Chapter 11 Linear Models and Estimation by Least Squares Chapter 13 The Analysis of Variance Chapter 14 Analysis of Categorical Data Calculator: Texas Instrument TI-83 Software: MINITAB, Student Edition. Grading: There will be 10 homework assignments, at least 15 class exercises, two in class tests, and a final exam. They will contribute to your overall grade according to the following percentages. Homework: 20% (Due in class every Thursday except on test dates) Class Ex.: 15% (Group work in class) Test I: 20% (In class Thursday, 2/25) Test II: 20% (In class Thursday, 4/8) Final Exam: 25% (Friday, 12/11, 10:30 am - 1:15 pm) NO MAKEUP EXAM will be given except for emergency or medical reasons.
