CPS 5195 (26445), Computational Science Graduate Seminar

M 17:00-17:50, BELL 130

Instructor: Granville Sewell

Office hours: MTW 9-10am, BELL 200

Prerequisites: None

The first nine meetings we will be using my new book (you will get a free PDF copy). Each meeting, I will lecture for about 20 minutes on the chapter application, the rest of the period you will log on to your HPC account (so you need to bring your laptop) and solve one of the book problems in this chapter using PDE2D. Here are instructions on how to use PDE2D on this machine. I will be there to help you with any difficulties; if you don't finish during the class time, you may (but don't have to) finish during the week.

The last few meetings we will have guest speakers.
