- Each semester has three time intervals and three modules.
- Module I consists of the material in the first one-third of Calculus, Module 2 consists of the material in the second one-third of Calculus, and Module 3 consists of material in the third one-third of Calculus.

Complaints/Suggestions
- Students who pass Math 1508 mid-semester of Fall 2009 may immediately start Module 1 of Math 1411 without registering or paying for Math 1411.
- Students must notify Mr. Viera if they intend to start Math 1411.
- Since you are entering the course mid-semester, you cannot complete the course during the semester. You must register and pay for Math 1411 when you register to complete the course during the Spring 2010 semester.
- All the Math 1411 instructors are your instructors: you may go to any of them for help. You may visit their offices, telephone them, or email them. Their office locations, office hours, telephone numbers, and email addresses are posted online.
- You
are allowed up to three tries to pass each of the three modules of
the course.
- If you fail Module 1 during Time 1, your grade of F is not counted; instead, you retake Module 1 again during Time 2.
- If you fail Module 1 again during Time 2, your grade of F is still not counted; instead, retake Module 1 during Time 3.
- If you fail Module 1 a third time, then your course grade is F. If you pass it within three tries, you go on to Module 2.
- This process continues for each module of the course.
- If you do not pass the course this semester, you must register to continue the course in the spring 2010 semester.
- You will be charged full tuition for every semester you are enrolled in the course.
- If you do not complete the course during this semester, your course grade is P (in Progress). You must register for, pay for, and continue the course the next semester (unless you complete it during the Wintermester or Maymester). Failure to do so results in a grade change from P to F.
- In the past, some students simply did not attend a module during one of the time periods. They decided to take the Test Out exam for a particular part rather than attending class for the part. You do not have this option. If you decide to not attend class during one of the time periods, your grade for the part you were scheduled to take in class is F. If no grade was turned in for you by an instructor during a part, your Test Out Exam score will not be counted.
- Continuing students start the course at either Module 2 or Module 3 during the 12:30-1:20 time slot.
- You will evaluate your instructor and the program at the end of time period one. You may also email the director, Mr. Julian Viera if you have concerns.
- If you pass the course before the end of the semester, you may retake a previously passed module to try to increase your overall grade. Contact Mr. Julian Viera before doing so.
- If you think that you belong in a module different from the module you are assigned, see Mr. Julian Viera, at Bell Hall 220.
- The names of all students, the parts they should be attending, their teachers, and their classroom location are located under "Find your Current Module" on the Modular Calculus website. Check and see that you are attending the correct module during Time 1.
- Check the link "Current Module" on the website very often. During the semester you are not allowed to switch the classes unless extraordinary circumstances. Please report to the assigned class/instructor.
- The exit exams for each time interval are administered in the classrooms where you attend the course for that module. The exit exam for every student in a specific module during a specific time is the same.
- You must score at least a 60 on the exit exam.
- You may use graphing calculators on these exams.
- You may NOT use notes or your book on these exams.
- Because of the short time of each time interval, there are no make up exams for missed exit exams. If you miss an exit exam, for whatever reason, you have two options: retake the module or take and pass the online Test Out Exam over that module administered at the library.
- Test Out exams are offered in the Library on the Friday and Saturday during Library hours following each time intervals.
- You must bring your exit exam to Mr. Julian Viera in order to schedule a Test Out Exam.
- You are allowed to take only the Test Out Exam for the module you did not pass.
- You may take one Test-Out Exam once and only once.
- Each Test Out Exam is two hours long.
- You may use graphing calculators on these exams.
- Improvement Test Out Exams will be offered at the end of the semester.
