About Me

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences and a core faculty of the Computational Science Program (CPS) at the University of Texas at El Paso. I have received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Purdue University under the guidance of the late Dr. Jim Doulgas, Jr. Prior to joining UTEP in 2009, I was a postdoctoral research associate in the Multiscale Mathematics research group led by Drs. Ralph Showalter and Malgorzata Peszynska at Oregon State University. My general research interests are in Numerical analysis and Scientific Computing.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading the Bible, trying new cooking recipes, binge-watching Netflix, and working out at the gym. I also love to travel and explore new places and cultures during my vacation time.
