The department has available several templates which can
be loaded into Emacs to get started. These are found in the directory
/usr/local/lib/tex/inputs on the
Sun server. These templates can be copied directly or inserted from
Epoch in Latex Fill mode (these words should appear on the bottom of
screen for any file with .Tex extension) by pressing Control-c \ and then entering ? for help
or a letter as shown in the table to bring up the
corresponding template in your Epoch window. As mentioned earlier, any
file created with a .tex extension with come up in
LaTeX Fill mode which will include an automatic wrap around
feature when typing the file. Files with any other extension will
come up in Text Fill mode. To change from Text Fill
mode to LaTeX Fill mode, enter Meta x and respond with
tex-or-latex (use space bar to complete). Examples of various
Epoch application files using these templates can be found and copied
from /home/banach/common/latex.
