Waiver requests for Fall no longer accepted. Please note the following important information:
You can request waivers only for the undergraduate MATH and STAT courses listed in the pop-up menu below,
which will NOT include MATH 0120, 0310 or 0311 (waivers for these courses may be requested in EDUC 205, 747-5693).
Before the first day of classes, the list may be very limited.
Your request may be denied. Requests for closed sections of courses which still have open sections will only very rarely be approved.
For courses whose sections are all closed, requests will be considered in the order they are received,
though the reason for your request may also be taken into account.
In any case, you are strongly advised to assume your request will be denied and plan accordingly,
for example, go ahead and register for an open section if possible and then frequently check the desired section
to see if it has become open due to drops by other students (also: some closed sections may become open when caps are raised,
and new sections may be created), or rearrange your course or work schedules to solve the problem yourself.
If your request is approved, you will be given an on-line closed class waiver for the section requested,
and notified by e-mail that you have been granted the waiver.
Please note that we will not change your schedule at all, the waiver simply makes it possible for you to register for the closed section on-line (here) or by telephone (545-1145), if you still want it.
You are also responsible for dropping any other section, if appropriate, and for paying any late fees resulting from switching sections.
If you do not receive notification from us, your request has not been approved.
If you are requesting closed class waivers for more than one section, you must make a separate request for each section.
Waiver requests for the the next semester will not be accepted until the first day of classes (waivers for a few classes possibly available the previous week). Click here for an explanation of this policy.
